A number of Americans were traumatized by the economic recession that they experienced just recently. Why not? Many people during that time bade goodbye to the days when they freely spend their money. That was also the time when many people grow their debts after losing their jobs and the value of their investments. Until today, there are still numerous Americans who are struggling to recover from the impact brought by the recession.
But of course, the recession has also brought a good lesson to countless of Americans-they learned to make every penny counts! Many eyes have been opened to see that financial security is nothing but an illusion. Because of this realization, they started to carefully analyze that every penny that comes in and goes out.
Specifically, many Americans have realized that owning a home is not a practical choice these days especially that the housing market suffered a lot during the recession. So, people opted to rent to find a solution. A lot of people have realized the compelling reasons to rent after seeing the value of their houses collapse dramatically.
To mention some benefits of renting a home, a person does not need to worry about long term commitment if he is suffering from job instability. Additionally, there is no maintenance cost to think about since it is the responsibility of the home owner. It is because of these reasons why several people have concluded that renting is a lot cheaper than owning these days.
