How to Earn Off Somebody Else's Junk
Published on Monday, 30 November 2009
Do you know that you can actually earn from somebody else's garbage? That's true. Take note that people who are moving cannot bring everything to their new place. That's the reason why people actually hold garage sales before they move. But since they cannot actually dispose everything there, you could contact them and offer to take all the leftover out of their hands. Many people would actually agree to such arrangement since this will make it more convenient for them. Of course, it's still their choice on what they would relinquish to you. Some would also expect you to take away all their unwanted items too. Because of this, always be prepared to do so. Bring with you a vehicle big enough to haul as much things.
To search for free items, you can easily search for garage and moving sales notices both in local papers and on the Internet. Take down the addresses and send out letters of your intent to help them. You can also visit them or at least contact them by phone at least a weekend before the sale. Work out the details and don't forget to stress that you will be doing this for free. Of course, you would not be expected until after the sale. Be courteous and be sensitive though. Never suggest that one thing is junk or ugly as they are still their things no matter what.
With the many things you'd be able to gather you'd be surprised how many treasures you'll find. You could clean or do some minor repairs and resell them. You might even be able to resell them as is and earn some good money.
