Making A Moving Checklist
A moving checklist is basically a list of things you need or should accomplish to make the move much smoother and more efficient. Forgetting important items and things can be catastrophic for you, so you need to list them down so that nothing slips your mind. And while certain items do depend on your particular situation, there are some basics that should always be a part of anyone's moving checklist.

One is the change of address. This so that any mail and other non-utility bills can be forwarded to your new address. Speaking of utilities, make sure that all of them have been fully paid and all outstanding balances have been settled. The same thing applies to any loans, even if they are only borrowed books from the public library - you don't want to have the spectre of debt loom over you even in your new home.

A checklist should also indicate a more general inventory, so you can keep track of your things better.

Also make sure to have the locations of schools and hospitals near your new home indicated in your checklist so that you can devote yourself to unpacking and integrating yourself into the new community.

See if there will be any issues with internet connections as well as phone service in the new place you'll be moving into. Also, do not neglect to inform all your friends that you have a new address, and if applicable, contact details as well.
