Moving? Follow These Three General Rules in Packing
Published on Tuesday, 29 March 2011
The most tedious, not to mention time consuming aspect of moving is the packing phase. Everybody despise packing and dealing with tons of items for a move. However, there are also plenty of tips that you can follow to avoid this nightmare. By following these suggestions, moving should be less stressful and more fun to everyone involved.Mark Accurately
Marking each box accordingly helps you to easily identify the contents of the box. Proper labeling reduces the time it takes to unpack as well. While it is helpful to label each box with the room they belong to, it is best to make a more detailed list of the items found in the box.
The Systematic Way to Load Boxes
When it's time to load the boxes and items into the box, put in the large, heavy items first. Load your essentials at the last part so that when you arrive, the items that you need can be made ready for use.
Pack an Essentials Box
An essentials box basically contains all the items that you need for the first two days of your move. These items include toiletries, kitchen ware, food and a few pairs of clothing. It is recommended to pack one essentials box for each member of the family. This way, you and your kids won't have to rummage through the boxes every time you need something to eat, drink or wear.
