Moving in with a spouse can really be a very enjoyable and memorable experience for the both of you as a couple. It's a time when you guys can bond and devote your energies towards a common goal.
Of course, planning is essential. Have some sit down time with your spouse and plan the way you want to move. You can consider every decision as something the both of you should agree on, or delegate specific parts of the move to be managed independently (although there should also be some coordination) by either of the two of you. Planning way before the move is also important so the both of you have time to properly schedule your other tasks and have enough time to devote for the moving-related tasks. Make a time table for the both of you to complete everything. Also, if you have kids, try to get their opinion as well, as they will also be affected by the move. Always involve them and do not shut them out.
When packing, pack by room - you can again do this individually or help each other as you go from room to room. This will help better unpack later. Also, make an inventory of the items so you know which items are inside which boxes.
