A checklist is an important tool that will ease out your pain when planning your move. Every household needs a unique checklist but the basic ideas apply in general. Notify everyone about the checklist so there are a number of persons to check if everything is well taken cared of. This will also ensure that you have packed the necessary things that you need in your move. Here are some of the must have in your checklist: · Inform contacts of your new address · Inform utilities when to stop your services so they stop charging you · Check utility service hotlines in your new location · Schedule your move and notify friends and relatives · Prepare all necessary packing materials beforehand · Make arrangements with moving company · Prepare an inventory of your items, noting their conditions and where they are stored Make sure to keep your moving checklist and a pen handy and check every item that you have accomplished. When new items come to mind, notify the other members of moving team so that your move is in synchrony.
