Packing Softbound and Hardbound Books the Right Way
Published on Friday, 04 December 2009
You're a bookworm and you can't move to another house without bringing your favorite books with you. Now your problem is, you have so many books that you don't know how to properly pack them so they'll be safe for the loading, travel, unloading, and unpacking. First thing you should do is to separate the softbound books from hardbound books. Next, collect hard boxes or as much as possible, plastic-made hard boxes. Now, you are ready to start packing hardbound and softbound books. Packing Hardbound Books 1. Group books depending on their height and width. This way, packing them will be easier and space-efficient. 2. Wrap books by twos or threes with bubble wrap or any plastic. This will protect the books against liquid damages. Place the books vice versa their hard part to encourage space efficiency. 3. Fill the box with plastic-wrapped books. Before that, put a cardboard on the box's floor for its stronger support. Put in as many books as the box can hold. 4. Stick on masking tape to close the box and label it. The label can be the book titles or book types. Packing Softbound Books Follow the same procedure as packing hardbound books. The only difference is that you should place a hard paper on the book's corner before wrapping them by twos or threes using a bubble wrap of plastic. This helps in avoiding ugly corner folds. Never allow any damages on your lovely books during the move. Following the above tips will be great ways to that. MORE NEWS AND TIPS
