Prepping for Your Move
Published on Sunday, 19 July 2009

Prepping for Your Move Prepping for Your Move Moving is a big event in anyone's life, and it is both an exciting and tiring endeavor. This is why you must take a significant amount of time off for you to be able to plan your move well, so that there will be minimal or no problems when the big day arrives. In making a plan, schedule your activities well, like allotting time for packing, doing inventory, until the day the truck or van arrives to pick up your things. Speaking of inventories, make sure that you make a comprehensive lift of your things so that you can easily account for each item you will be bringing with you on the move. You should also take time to pack your things properly, especially with your breakables. Another of the things you should do is check your local banks if you have money deposited in them. You should ask for a transfer to a branch of the bank that is nearer you new home, of if there is none, you may want to open a new account in a new back and have your funds moved there. Some banks may charge a certain amount for transfers, so be sure you ask about that beforehand. You should also inform all your contacts (friends and family) about your move, and give them your new details like the address and telephone number.
