The Perfect Way to Pack Lamps and Lampshades
Published on Thursday, 05 November 2009
Lamps are very delicate to transport because they easily break. During the move out, lamps should be given extra care in terms of packing and positioning in the moving truck. Below are some of the tips in packing and moving lamps:
There are specialized packing papers that you can use to protect and provide cushion to the delicate parts of the lamps. The bubblewrap paper is usually being used by many experts in packing because of the tiny bubbles that give better protection to the lamp. You can also use other cushioning materials like bubblewrap bags to have better protection to your household materials. Never transport your lamps and lampshades unboxed. Lamps and lampshades should always be placed on a box when they are being transported. More so, they should not be cluttered on a single box. They should be individually boxes in order to avoid potential bumps with one another. Label all your boxes by putting a mark on every box. This will allow you to determine which among these boxes should be given extra care. There are lamps that are highly expensive that you may want to insure also.
Since lamps are essentially expensive, shelling out a few pennies and exerting a little effort to have them protected is all worth it.
