The Trick in Wrapping Table Lamps for the Move To pack table lamps you need to prepare some bubble wraps, newsprint, packing tape, marker and a tall box. Just make sure you get a box tall enough to accommodate the table lamp. Now to make sure that the box will hold it, reinforced the bottom part with extra packing tape. Before you put the lamp inside it, make sure you remove the bulb and the shade first. The plug should also be wrapped around the base of the lamp. And to secure it in place, just tuck the plug end to the cord. The bubble wrap is there to protect the fragile parts of the lamp. You have to wrap them individually in many rolls to make sure each is well protected. Tape the end of the roll and then fold both the top and bottom edges. To secure them use packing tape as well. Now you can place the lamp with the base at the bottom and the other pieces as well. To make sure that they do not break as they bump during handling and transport use newsprints to pad the space in between them. Make sure you label the right side up and you put a “Fragile” sign in it. Of course, you must not forget to seal the top well too.
