Packing is the first part of the move. Some people pack randomly just so they can get it done and move. However, you should pack properly, first, to protect your belongings and to make unpacking easier and more convenient. You should first assess the things you have to pack. Take this time to choose the things you should not bring anymore. This would lessen time and effort needed for packing. It would even minimize the costs of packing. After that you must buy all packing materials necessary first before you start packing. Always have sturdy boxes and items like bubble wrap, packing paper and such for cushioning items. Breakables are better packed in cell boxes. Electronic appliances are also best packed in their original boxes. Pack by rooms so everything that goes together will be in one box. Pack an essential box for each room too so you will know which box to unpack in each room first. For instance, you can have all toiletries in one box. You can pack linens and other bedroom essentials in one box so you will have a comfortable bed on your first night in your new home. You would also need to pack the essential kitchen items in one box so you will be able to prepare meals there. Always label the boxes so boxes can be unloaded to the right rooms. You should also have an inventory of the items so you will know where to look for specific items. So again, when you pack properly you don't only protect your things but make unpacking easy.
