Helpful Moving Guide: Transporting The Tech Stuff If you're the type of person who's serious about his or her tech stuff, you will be bound to have several important items during your move that are fragile and very expensive. Improper packing may result in damage or malfunction, making your move much more stressful and expensive. One basic item is your personal desktop computer. The CPU or central processing unit is especially susceptible to damage as it is not recommended that it be subjected to the rough and tumble transit while it is assembled. The best thing to do would be to disassemble the unit, and each part placed inside bubble wrap. It would be best if you still have the boxes for these parts so you can easily store them in safe and well-padded containers. The same goes for peripherals like the monitor and the printer. TV's on the other hand, are a trickier business, so it is best to leave the work to professionals. It also helps if you have the original packaging the television came in. The professional movers will be the ones to provide extra packing protection for your TV set. Also, never forget to label the boxes with electronics as fragile so that whoever handles your things will be more careful and take extra precautions. It is also recommended that you hire a moving company with insurance just in case any of your gadgets and gizmos suffer any damage during transport. MORE NEWS AND TIPS
