Moving and Selling House at the Same Time:
Deal with it the Right Way

Moving is part of living and sometimes it is indeed inevitable - it is something that needs to happen anytime soon or right away. For instance, you get a much better job that requires you to move into a new place, or you need to sell your present home and transfer to a bigger one, and other acceptable and genuine reasons.

The problem comes when you want to move in your new house but you haven't sold your old house yet. If the situation is the opposite, wherein you were able to sell your house before moving in, that is a much easier situation to deal with. However, this is not the case.

And so, if you seriously wanted to sell your home the soonest time possible you have to deal with lots of things and you can start with: communicating with your real estate agent. Maintaining a contact with your agent even if it is long distance communication will benefit you since you know what the latest developments on your property are, what feedback does your agent gets from potential buyers, and identifying the chances in making the purchase from happening.

It will also expedite the selling process if you leave your house fully-furnished. There are more buyers who prefer well-furnished house over empty house. And if you don't want to leave your furniture, you can rent furniture just to fill the house.

Another thing, try to decorate your old house by putting some photos, paintings, and other decorative items so that it will look more presentable. This way, your buyer will have an idea how the house will look like once they purchase it and move in.

Don't focus too much on the house because you have to take care of your garden, law, and landscaping as well. People always want to have a front yard that is well-kept and well-maintained. It would be much better if you hire some landscaping services to do the job for you because they have experience in making your property pleasant.

Going back to the house, it is also a good idea to repaint your entire house. This will give the potential buyers an idea how well you maintain your house and how eager you are in handing them their new house - that you are making their future house beautiful and suitable to live in. Also, it pains the eyes of the buyer if he will see blemishes and disintegrating paint on the wall.

Once you make the changes and improvements in the house that is up for sale, make sure that you installed an alarm system inside the building. This will protect your property from any robbery, trespassing, and other sort of criminal offenses until there is no news for a potential buyer.
